Meditation for the Most Restless Mind

This meditation gives immediate relief to any wavering, spaced-out mind. When there is so much insanity around that even medical and psychiatric help falls short, this will not. Practicing this kriya gives the capacity to still the most restless mind. This tongue lock is called Khechari Mudra. Before you recommend it to someone, make sure you've practiced it yourself!

Posture: Sit in Easy Pose with a straight spine, with a light Neck Lock (Jaalandhar Bandh). Relax the arms and hands in any comfortable meditative pose.

Mudra: Open the mouth as wide as possible. Touch the tongue to the upper palate. the “dome” and as far back as comfortable. Continue extending it up and back as it relaxes and stretches.

Breath: Breathe through the nose.

Eyes: Focus on the tip of the nose, the Lotus Point. Start by having the eyes gently relaxed downward.

Time: 3 - 31 minutes

To End - Inhale. Exhale, relax the breath.
