Karta Singh FRANCE
Karta Singh is the Founding Director of the Amrit Nam Sarovar Yoga School (ANS).
He was born in Morocco in 1950. At the age of ten he had to abandon his homeland. The family had been living in North Africa for three generations when - due to political unrest - they decided to go back to France in the early 1960s.This sudden disruption instilled in Karta a deep longing to belong. He then embarked on a quest that would make him understand what it means to have a home and a tradition.
In his twenties Karta was determined to access a body of knowledge that would re-connect him with the roots he had lost. He studied mathematics and physics, taught himself oriental philosophy and psychoanalysis: in search for the true teaching that would give life meaning, purpose and direction.
It was in the mid-seventies when Yoga Bhajan first crossed Karta's path. Immediately, he recognized him as the teacher he had been looking for: not a mere man of intellect and applied philosophy but a true spiritual master.
During a tantric course Karta came as close to the man he considered his teacher as he could possibly come. In a moment of Kundalini rising Yogi Bhajan literally entered his body. This was the beginning of an alchemistic relationship that would change his life forever.
Karta followed Yogi Bhajan in his vision to build a global community with spirit being the founding principle and common bond between all mankind. This would only work if people changed their level of consciousness. Therefore, Karta made it his mission to help people transform and realize their full human potential.
As a pioneer, he created programs in France, Belgium, England, Russia, Austria, and Switzerland. With the teacher training Karta reached out to as many people as possible.
When Yogi Bhajan died in October 2004, he left an impressive legacy. Teachers would spread the teachings in all four corners of the world. For Karta it was a time to re-connect with the initial vision: How far are we on the road towards an inclusive and enlightened society? How can we live in dharma (righteous living) in the west today? How can we facilitate a strong sense of living for each other? How can spirituality truly guide us in our lives?
On his land in the French Alps he started building a space that could serve as a foundation for living the teachings. He considers Le Martinet as a sign post that welcomes people looking for a spiritual home. People living for each other beyond borders, beliefs and religions. It is a journey to becoming fully human.

She is certified by the 3HO Foundation and the Kundalini Research Institute as a Kundalini Yoga Teacher and Trainer of both Level I and II .
For over twenty-five years, Krishna Kaur literally studied at the feet of her teacher Yogi Bhajan, the Master of Kundalini and White Tantric Yoga. She has traveled extensively throughout Europe, Russia, Mexico, India and Africa inspiring and uplifting people with the technology of yoga and meditation
In 1971, Krishna established and directed the Kundalini Yoga Center in South Central Los Angeles and maintained an active community outreach program for fifteen years.
In 1993, Krishna founded Y.O.G.A. for Youth, an amazing program that takes yoga and meditation, breathing techniques, chanting, deep relaxation and stimulating discussions on the philosophy of yoga to urban youth. It is being taught in juvenile detention facilities, pregnant and parenting teens, prisons and after school programs through out Southern California with satellite programs in New York, Minneapolis, Seattle, Chicago. The program aims to give youth practical tools to enrich their lives and assist them in effectively meeting lifes challenges now and in the future.
Because of her dedication, devotion and the ever-expanding light that she brings to the Los Angeles area and beyond; her development of Y.O.G.A. for Youth Programs and trainings; and her inspiration in bringing Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan to West African countries like Ghana and Togo, the Kundalini Research Institute honored Krishna Kaur in 2009 for her outstanding service to the international community and KRI's Teacher Training Programs.
She has been a pioneer in what we now call Reach Out - Teach Out Training programs, bringing Kundalini Yoga to under served communities in the Los Angeles area as well as abroad. She has served on the Teacher Training Executive Board for many years and her wisdom, experience and humor has transformed the way we train teachers today.

With chapters developing around the country, IABYT sponsors a number of events through out the year including Community Yoga Day and the annual Black Yoga Teachers Summit and Retreat. They sponsored the first US yoga program in Cuba, a Festival of Yoga and Music in Havana in 1999, which sparked an ongoing yoga exchange between Cuba and the US.
In addition, the Yoga in Ghana pilgrimage took place in November 2003, and provided incredible opportunities to meet with spiritual elders and hold yoga conferences in both Accra and in Kumasi. The trip led to the development of an IABYT chapter in Ghana that is an official non-government organization (NGO) Krishna Kaur conducted yoga teacher training courses in Ghana in 2005 and in Togo West Africa in 2006.

Nanak Dev Singh Khalsa
GERMANY
In 1971 I said good bye to my first spiritual teacher who was a Native American psychedelic medicine man. He had taught me about consciousness and the truth which would become the foundation for my spiritual life. His last words to me were to find someone who could teach me Kundalini Yoga.
A year later I found Kundalini Yoga, 3HO and, Yogi Bhajan. Being a student of Yogi Bhajan was like living in a spiritual pressure cooker 24/7 /365! He had a single objective as your spiritual teacher: to pressurize your life to the point he could change coal to a diamond.
Kundalini Yoga and its amazing power to transform was the main stay of my life then and now. I am eternally grateful for those hard sometimes bitter times and long powerful sadhnas, for that is the sweetness in my life today.
Recently we opened our Ashram in Berlin. It is the largest Kundalini Yoga Ashram in the world at 8000 sq. ft. We have more than thirty residences including children. Our first yoga room was opened last weekend as was our kindergarten! Our Ashram is unique because we practice not only KY but also Gatka, Taiko drumming, and classical Indian dance & music as our sadhana. And if you wish to visit us for a night or two you can stay at our Yogi Hotel!!!
"I still am a hippie, a yogi, a warrior, a shaman, a dancer and a grandfather and somehow it all fits."
"There is no question in my mind that Kundalini Yoga is the most powerful personal transformation technique on the planet. I should know - I have practiced it and many others for nearly four decades!"
For the last ten years he has studied with his third major teacher, Akali Nihang Nidhar Singh. He is the last of the Nihang warriors of India. He teaches a once secret martial art know as Shastar Vidiya. Very heavy stuff again and another teacher who demands a lot of blood, sweat and tears -literally!!!!
Kshatriya - The Saint-Warriors of India
The tradition of the Kshatriya (Saint-Warrior) dates back 10.000 years. Many of the great personalities of the Vedic tradition were Kshatriyas: Gautama Buddha, Krishna Avatar, Ram Chandar, Gobinde Singh.
The art of the Kshatriya is the art of balancing and harmonizing polarities, such as the power of the warrior with the humility of the saint. To create the graceful power of the Kshatriya we practice the martial art Gatka as our earthly power, and combine it with Kundalini Yoga - our spiritual power. The synergy of the two forms the Adi Shakti (great power) which gives the Kshatriyas their god like qualities.
Nanak Dev Singh has lived as a Kshatriya for 25 years. In 1982 he was initiated into the clan through his first teacher Bhai Daleep Singh in Ponta Sahib, India. He is currently the student of Akali Nihang Nidhar Singh of Wolver Hampton, UK. It was the wish of his first teacher that Nanak brings to the west the tradition of the Noble Saint Warrior - the Kshatriya. Kshatriya Workshop

Narayan Singh Khalsa
aka Michael J. Lincoln WA
Narayan Singh Khalsa aka Michael J. Lincoln earned his Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of Oregon, including several years teaching, research assisting and working at mental hospitals, a counseling center, a mental health clinic, and the institution for the retarded.
He then started out as the clinical director of one of the first behavior modification treatment programs for emotionally disturbed children. He pioneered the successful healing of deep emotional wounds in both children and their families through the integration of behavioral and psychoanalytic approaches.
He went on to serve in this role in several other innovative treatment programs for children and adolescents over a thirty year span.
Meanwhile, along the way, he opened and ran a night club for teenagers during the late sixties. He also co-ran a series of large inter-racial and inter-generational encounter groups for high school teachers, administrators and students. In addition, he developed a heart-centered face-reading process based upon modern psychological assessment approaches.
He also was a consultant for programs for alcoholics, drug dependents, juvenile and adult corrections, and the department of children's services. In addition, he functioned as a forensic psychologist for these populations. Along with all this clinical work, he served as a professor of psychology at the University of Portland ( Oregon ) for several years, where he trained people in professional clinical psychology, conducted research, and taught at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
In addition, he trained child care practitioners in professional child/youth work in an accreditation program of his own design for some twenty years.
As all of this was happening, there began to develop a growing spiritual awareness and commitment. This led to his integrating the sacred into his contributions, and he evolved into a Psycho-Sacred Teacher and Healer, which he has been for over 20 years now.
