Sat Avtar KaurIn (2006), I found Kundalini Yoga but, I could not find a list of the mantras, or how to say them, no teacher could ever have answered all my questions. I made notes of everything I found on Kundalini Yoga. After months of taking notes and book marking websites, my 10 year old Mac computer started erasing my typing and I could not stop it. So I moved all my notes to a free website, a wiki and closed it to the public. I started to organize my notes. And, I brought a new Mac computer.
I bought the Kundalini Yoga Teachers Training manual in 2007 and read it almost in one day over 350 pages. I could not put it down, it gave me the background, I needed to know. I could see where Kundalini Yoga could bring my body back and give me health, again. Without a teachers guidance, it is difficult to know what to do, all the time. However, there is now, enough online classes, to make do for a while. Right now, I am listening to one mantra, over and over (I just love it), I leave it playing on my computer (day and night) because the vibration, the frequency of the words and the language sets a good tone for the house. I cannot get enough of listening to it. It is Snatam Kaur singing "Ra Ma Da Sa, Sa Say So Hung". Yogi Bhajan said this is the most powerful healing mantra he taught. When you want to heal yourself or another, this is the mantra to use. After taking Kundalini Yoga classes for about 2 months, I sent for my spiritual name, Sat Avtar Kuar. Sat means Truth, the eternal truth, the truth that never dies and that is unchanging. Avtar means incarnation, taking birth and manifesting. Kaur is a name that Yogi Bhajan gave to all women, all the men's last names are Singh. By using your spiritual name, you bring your life together and your destiny closer . My background: What I also began learning was that no matter what information you were presented with, or who gave it to you, even a teacher, it was up to you to prove it to yourself, before accepting it, no matter who wrote it or who says it. That means not making an assumption, that that you really heard what a person says or understood what they wrote. So you ask questions, until you clarify it. One needs to recognize that everything, that they encounter is their own consciousness out picturing around them. And everything is our own interpretation of it, our perception of it. We are all mirrors of each other. If you have people and places in your life that you don't like, well, it is your perception of what is going on, that you are dealing with. It is happening only within your mind. Change your perceptions of what is happening to you and your world will change. In the 1990's, I studied Shamanism, I walked across hot burning coals and became a Fire walker. I also became a Reiki Master in the Usui system. At the end of 2006, I found Kundalini Yoga. I was reading Eckhart Tolle's, 2 books and Wayne Dyer's "the Power of Intention". It all fits in. In Kundalini Yoga, I learned and use every day, Kirtan Kriya. It settles the mind, and seems to place whatever - emotions- situations - memories - in perspective where they can do no harm and even seems to refile, them forever. It is a wonderful technique and very freeing. I love Kundalini Yoga, the health and wellness that one can achieve through practicing this technology is fabulous. You can rebuild yourself mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically. You can change your life totally, if you want to. I work on this site every day. There will always be something to add in and something new to do. May you always walk in the Light of Your Own Soul, |
